2008 Conference Registration is NOW CLOSED.

The After-School Institute and Maryland After-School Partnership are pleased to announce our Fourth Annual Eastern Regional Conference on After-School held May 8-9, 2008 at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel (100 W. Fayette Street, Baltimore 21201).

This year's conference theme is Quality Programming for Older (Middle and High School) Youth. 

We expect 500 people to attend this exciting 2-day event, which will be filled with workshops, institutes, and site visits to after-school programs.

To improve the quality of after-school programs for middle and high school youth in the Eastern Region of the United States, the 2008 Regional Conference will focus on the following areas:
  • Quality Program Development,
  • Embedding Core Academic Content in Enrichment Activities,
  • Promoting Policy and Practice to Create Capacity, Partnerships & Sustainability,
  • Integrating Youth Development Principles,
  • Merging Research & Practice to Improve Quality,
  • Showcasing Programs in the Region,
  • Urban and Rural Programming,
  • Workforce and Leadership Development, and
  • Implementing, Monitoring, and Evaluating.
